An orchard is a thirty-year commitment to a piece of land.

Sustainability

How we farm for the next harvest and the next generation: water, soil, pollinators, energy and waste.

Water

Almonds are a dry-summer crop, and water is the estate's most closely watched input. Irrigation is scheduled from soil-moisture telemetry and evapotranspiration data; ageing channels were replaced with pressurised drip and micro-sprinkler networks block by block. Soil & orchard health

Composted hulls and shells return to the rows. Integrated pest management replaces calendar spraying: scouting thresholds, mating disruption and beneficial-habitat strips along the field edges.

Pollinators

The crop depends on bees, so the orchard is managed for them: hive-safe spray windows, bloom-season forage strips and water sources along the perimeter.

Where we are heading

  • Solar generation for packing lines — [placeholder: status and capacity]
  • Shell and hull by-products fully utilised as biomass, bedding and soil amendment
  • Water-use telemetry across all irrigated blocks
  • Annual review of packaging weight and recyclability
