Buyer FAQ
Answers before the specification
Varieties, grading, sizing, packaging, minimum order quantities, sampling, shipping and payment terms —
the questions our export desk answers most often.
Products
Which almond forms do you supply?
Whole kernel, in-shell, blanched, slivered, sliced, diced and paste-grade kernels, across commercial varieties including Nonpareil, Carmel, Butte, Padre, Monterey, IC-45 and regional heirloom selections.
Can you supply to our size and defect specification?
Yes. Sizing bands, defect tolerances and admixture limits are agreed contractually and verified on our sorting lines before packing. Pre-shipment samples are provided for every lot.
Do you provide samples?
We send representative samples (typically 0.5–1 kg) by international courier before contract. Freight is arranged against your courier account.
Quality
How do you control aflatoxin?
Lots are sampled at intake and before shipment and tested by an independent accredited laboratory. Aflatoxin certificates accompany every consignment, and lots exceeding destination-market limits are rejected from export allocation.
What food safety standards does your facility work to?
Our packing facility operates on HACCP-based prerequisite programmes with documented SOPs. Certification status and audit reports are shared under NDA during supplier qualification. [Placeholder — replace with your actual certifications before publication.]
Export
What is your minimum order quantity?
Typical MOQs are 1 MT for specialty formats and 5 MT or one container for commodity kernel and in-shell programs. Mixed-size containers are possible by arrangement.
Which Incoterms do you work with?
FOB, CFR, CIF, EXW and DAP are all available. We normally quote FOB with the loading port named, and can arrange door delivery for regular customers.
What documents do you provide with a shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate and laboratory certificates (including aflatoxin) as required by the destination market.
What are your payment terms?
By arrangement — typically irrevocable letter of credit at sight or advance payment against proforma invoice. Long-standing partners may qualify for open terms.
General
When is the harvest season?
Hulling and shelling run from late August to late September. Shipments leave from controlled storage from October through August, so supply continues through the year.
How quickly do you answer inquiries?
The export desk answers inquiries within one business day. Quotations against a written specification are typically returned within three business days.
Do you sell to consumers?
No. We are a wholesale exporter and work with importers, processors and distributors. Consumers are directed to our retail partners in their market.
Still have a question?
